Walkthrough · live, on your denials

How a denial becomes a cited appeal.

We walk one denied case through the product with you: the payer policy it is read against, the documentation missing from the chart, and the reconsideration package that comes out the other side.

The MeetsCriteria denials workspace with demo data: a worklist of denied cases on the left, each with payer, procedure, appeal deadline and value at risk, and the selected denied case on the right with its four-step progress from denial received to sent to payer, the payer's stated denial reason, and the case history.

What it covers

One denied case, from the stall to a reconsideration that answers every requirement — shown in the product, not on slides.

  1. 01
The denial stops everythingCare and reimbursement both stall. A queue delivers the denial to someone’s list — it doesn’t say why the payer said no, or what would overturn it.
  2. 02
Why it gets written offStaff hunt hundreds of pages of chart against policies that keep moving. The volume beats even experienced reviewers, and unappealed revenue is eventually written off.
  3. 03
One case, read against the policyA denied case is opened against the version-tracked payer policy, and the chart is cross-referenced to its medical-necessity criteria.
  4. 04
The one missing pieceCriteria the chart already satisfies are cleared with their evidence; what is absent is named, so the provider is told exactly what to record.
  5. 05
Gap closed, package builtThe record syncs back through Epic SMART on FHIR and the system compiles a reviewer-ready reconsideration that answers every plan requirement.

Run it on your own denials and watch the same thing happen to them.
